Well her birth cert gives her mmn Wright and she travelled with Doris who appears to be her mum and travelled as Bailey . It would appear that dee was born to the couple but they weren't married until later because Doris was still married

Dee can get a copy of her birth cert now with the GRO ref I posted .

This will give her parents names

Soooo he was in New Zealand in. 1935. and came to the UK. In 1937 so he couldn't have married in Nottingham in 1935 which nails that you have picked up the wrong Vincent marrying

Vincent appears in an 1938 NZ electoral roll so he wasn't in the UK then.

Yes the Vincent you picked up isn't your guy because. He was just Vincent and stayed in the Nottingham area and had two more children to 1949. And died in the Nottingham, area and born in 1908

So it looks like your Vincent didn't 't marry before It was Doris who was married when they met and they eventually married after she divorced

Well it looks like it was only Doris who had married before as there isn't any marriage for Vincent. B. Bailey in the UK

No I don't think they were married until later but his family didn't know they were against a 25 anniversary celebration Yes that's them Doris was born in Birmingham and had family there. Doris also had a son to a previous Marriage? relationship but her husband kept the child. Interesting times

So he brought his second wife and Dorothea back from the UK

Doesn't look like he married before then though

Won't their marriage cert indicate if he was married before

He wasn't the one who married in 1935 though wrong guy !!

What about getting his army records. They may give some clues .But if he was living with Doris then the records may well have her as his next of kin

Don't know why the 99 year veto. Never heard of that. Births now under 50 years old you have to know all the info in order to get a copy of the cert because of data protection / identity fraud

Sandra

Sandra Report 3 Apr 2015 09:07

yes he did to his second wife whose maiden name was wright they had to wait for her devoice to come through maybe his too. You still have to wonder why they would put a 99 year veto when Dorothea (Dee) asked for her original birth certificate
I thought he went to join up in the second war but Dee said he went in the 1930s and joined up in 1944 to the general service corps then in the 22/2/1945 parachute Regiment he had a red beret Sandy
