Hi Luke,

There is a Myles McGowan born 1901 Glasgow on the 1901 Scottish census living at 26, College Street, Glasgow with parents William Mcgowan and Mary nee Rogers, with them are Myles siblings, Mary b. 1896, William b 1897 , Robert b 1899.

Does this ring any bells ?

There are a couple of members here on GR who have both Myles and Isabella in their trees, so I think we have the right marriage .

The only marriage on SP for a Myles to Isabella is in Anderston ( my home town )
in 1924.
Myles Archibald McGowan to Isabella Robert Nicol .

Found a George McGowan ( could be your Dad ) with 2 Isabella's and a Myles McGowan on the 1960 E.R on ancestry, living at Pensfield road, Craigton, Glasgow

And at the same address in 1958, no George , possibly to young , but there are both isabella's plus a Francis. and Myles.

think you need the marriage cert for ages etc for any more searches as it would be easy to follow the wrong family
