Hi Joonie, yes there was a birth in Wallasey ( I was born there lol) and that is the trail I've followed, with FB connections as per the names on erolls. I hadn't looked at company check but that confirms middle name so looks a definite maybe :-)

I expect you have noted that the brother had children, who were born in Salford area, which would suggest that Ron and/or family may well have been around there at relevant time.

Have sent FB links to Paula which are interconnecting to other family members, and a tree on here which has both brothers on it ( though it's an old number so may not get response).

Could this explain absence from the electoral roll after 2011 in Shipley?

Shipley is in Bradford reg dist.

Read the names in the list.

Charles R, Ronnie, Charles Ronald. age 60-64 in 2010-2011

The spouse and child of the 1980 marriage also appear there.

(I wonder whether the Ronny who posted in the other thread was meaning to copy the 'Brocklesby' surname that had already been used in the thread, so as not to identify himself precisely. I will delete some of these details after they've been seen. I have avoided writing the name out in full so that it isn't caught by search engines.)

Nyx, the birth you mention to match the 1980 marriage -- there was a younger sibling born in Wallasey, Cheshire, so getting closer ...

JoonieCloonie Report 10 Dec 2017 01:29

My head is starting to spin with the Ron* Brock* s here :-)

but ... have you considered the Ronnie Brockhill 1948 in someone's tree here?

Trying to be discreet, I wonder whether the person who owns the tree is known to you, and that has recently been added based on the info you recently gave in the thread ...

We might have to consider - it's probably been mentioned here - that Ronnie himself was adopted, or took a stepfather's name, and that's why there is no birth to match.

for helpers ref have sent some possible marriages and details for contacts which Paula will try, may prove false leads but would help to eliminate anyway. :-)

No it wasn’t hushed up the baby stay with the mother for six weeks in the family home before being adopted, and he did meet the family both sisters of the mother said when we first contacted them over 10 years ago. Everyone knew she was pregnant we spoke to one of there neighbours where he was born, and he remembers her pushing a pram up and down the street and seeing her with a man of the same description.x

The 1980 marriage i mentioned is for someone who was born 1948, apparently, however there is something to suggest the name might be relevant, a birth which I will send via PM.

Rambling Report 9 Dec 2017 22:37

The info is only as good as the person knows, and that might also apply to his age?

There may be reasons why the sister didn't know anything very much, it may have been a brief relationship which didn't involve Ron' meeting the family, the pregnancy and adoption may have been hushed up completely or a cover story made up to fit.

Hi I contacted the tree owner of Ronald brocklesby and she put me in touch with his brother Leslie because Ronald had died, he doesn’t know anything about a child being adopted and the details didn’t match to his brother. Ronnie was 28 in 1971 when my husband was born so 1943/44 I say Ronnie/ Ronald was born . The Ronny who posted on here never replied to my inbox message the envelope is unopened. I did find out that his birth mother married just a year after my husband was born I’ve sent messages to him too but nothing answered. Me and my husband are coming to the conclusion that we’ve been given false information, you’d never forget your sister giving a baby away or who got her pregnant in the first place, the adoption records state lots of things about his dad but not his name why give that but not his name. It’s been very frustrating.

Shirley I'm sorry but why put the 1942 birth details here? The person is undoubtedly still living. I already referred to that birth on the previous page in any case.

I pointed out that two people have that person in their tree at this site but I don't know whether Paula noticed or made any attempt to contact them.

Okay wait, Paula, you say you contacted that person. How did you manage that? Via someone at this site, or did you somehow find his contact info?

Again - obviously the person who posted in the other thread is the right Ronny. Look at what he said there. He entered his name as 'Brocleby' which is not actually a name, unfortunately, but Brocklesby is the closest name.

Another option is a 1947 birth with the same given name and surname. ... But he has himself in his tree at this site, apparently under two usernames, but not 'Ronny'.

Unsure if he was married he could of been and that’s why they don’t want to say. That brochill marrying in Trafford is close to where he’s from so I’ll give him a try and see if it’s a match, I’ll get back to you and let you know
Thank you x

Rambling Report 9 Dec 2017 19:52

There's no R Brockle or variant birth that seems to match, so I think you'll have to try a different angle or get more info if at all possible.

Assuming he wasn't married at the time, look for marriages after the birth, there are some of close-ish names, including one who has an R for middle name, surname Brockhill marrying 1980 Trafford, one marrying 1972 middle initial R in Flints.

Neither of those two born in Lancs' but you have to think that even someone born elsewhere might have been living in the area long enough to have the local accent...could also be further out, in Cheshire for instance.

there's also a number of Brockwell marriages with middle initial R... brockwell may well be pronounced Brockle.
