I am looking for Rhiannon Edwards (mothers maiden name owen) from Bala born in 1935 or any other relatives of hers. her son Christopher Edwards was born in 1962 in Chester and given up for adoption. Any info kindly appreciated ;-) <3

My dads last living relative has just past away (suicide :-\ ) and it’s made him want to find out about his birth mother. Whether he has any siblings etc. The right one is Rhiannon O Edwards I can’t find any marriage, births or death certificates for her. I’m stuck now ??

You asked how to search trees
Near the top of the page, on the right, is the word Search next to a magnifying glass.
Click on that.
Select Search all member trees
On the next page, enter Rhiannon Edwards 1935. Don’t bother with a place of birth.

There are 4 results, 3 of which seem to be the same person with different accounts. They may have taken out 3 seperate ‘free’ trials. She has the birth as Llandudno so it could be a different Rhiannon or she’s just guessed. ‘Your’ Rhiannon is the only birth registered anywhere in 1935.
The other tree just says Wales

Although it’s debatable if the Rhiannon who gave birth in Chester is the same person who married in Chelsea, it could conceivably happen.
Unmarried mothers were often ‘sent away’ to have their child out of area.

Christopher’s birth was registered sometime in the months Jan, Feb or Mar. Obviously you know the exact date.
The Chelsea marriage took place during July, Aug or Sept.
There’s enough time to go back to the area where she was living & marry someone she was already courting. He might not have been Christopher’s biological father.

Yes, do search for the other names. Although Edwards is quite common, some of your potential family have more uncommon ones.

My father was told that once she had given birth to him she moved back in with her mum dad and brother on their farm. Presumably wales. My dad was born March 1962. She was 27 at this time. My dads father was a married man that’s why he was given up for adoption, apparently my dad wasn’t her only child to be adopted . Or so we are lead to believe. She did try to contact my father when he was 16 but he had his ‘mum and dad’ then. It’s only since his ‘sister’ passing that he has become interested in where he’s come from. I do hope I can find them for him. I’ve messaged them with Rhiannon on their trees. Fingers crossed.
