One of your father's sisters in law is in the BT phone book

Hiya,

Thank you for all your help.

Some things I do know for certain:

He was married twice before he married my mother (the first marriage was very short).

He then married at least 7 more times, the last marriage being in 2018.

I was present for those ones! There is potentially 1 more marriage that I wasn't present for between 1986 and 1989.

There are some short marriages. I have spoken to two of my siblings, one of whom has confirmed that his first child was a boy (from the short lived first marriage) who was then adopted.

The names I have referred to are names he was linked with at times of marriage. So yes, I am well aware that Moxham was not my mother's maiden name :-)

I appreciate all of your help. I am not looking to go back in the family tree as his brother has already done an outstanding job of that! I am simply trying to work out his marriages, as although I was present, for most of them, I was a young child.

Buy copies of the marriage certs to confirm what you believe about the marriages for your father's name

As you're looking for your possible half-siblings, you need to know the maiden names of the women to enable a search for births, and they may not have been spinsters when they married - as was the case with your mother

The one who married in Hull was still there in 2016 - and was almost certainly born in 1969

Newspaper article dated 2019

Britain's most married man, 71, calls off his engagement to would-be wife number nine, 30, who he'd never actually met because 'it didn't feel right'

Someone with that many marriages is likely to make the papers as did the one mentioned above.

Are you sure they were actual marriages and not that he just lived with some of them?

As I have said several times, I attended most of the weddings! I am sure he married that many times. Many thanks.
