Ok,thanks.Does anyone know where can I post an enquiry about Captain Edward Pratt?.As prevouisly,I have posted a lots enquiries on cousinconnect.com and have a lots replies from the descendants but the company is brought over by adopted.com.So I cannot post an enquiry anymore.

I mean an enquiry post for which appeared on public in all search engine like Google,Yahoo & etc.

Please advice. :-)

If anyone puts the name into any search engine, they will find your post on here.

This post here on GR appears here on search engines - but only if someone searches specifically for "Captain Edward Pratt" or other combination of relevant words - which isn't very likely to happen.

The same would apply to a post on any other forum.

The helpers here on GR only saw your post because we look daily for any new threads on which to help.

If so, you must know if he had children or not, and what their names were/are.

I did some research and found out him .

Born in 1875.Son Of Edward Haslope Pratt & Mary Gertrude Burton of Shrewsbury.Edward Haslope Pratt married 1stly,Annie ?.Served in Malayan and Straits Settlements Civil Service.Took up an appointment as district judge,magistrate in Penang.Retired in 1929.He was known as Captain Pratt in Malaya.He returned to Malaya after his retirement in 1930 and joined the lawyer firm in Kuala Lumpur.He went back to England on June 1931.He married Dorothy Eleanor Clow,daughter of Sir George James Clow in 1911. .They lived at The Haven, Torpoint, Cornwall.

His siblings :-

i) Rev.George Edward Haslope Pratt (1862-1925) married Marion Francis Hill.


ii) Edith Gertrude Pratt(?-1943).Unmarried.


iii) Lily Marian Pratt (1877-1931).Unmarried.

which didn't make sense, but was probably because of that 1962 death (if that's her), although a different year.

The last online sighting of Edward and Dorothy was in July 1931 (not June, as Winson says), when they travelled from Japan to London - record posted on page 2.
(Except for the possible 1962 death of Dorothy.)

Winson, I still don't understand from your posts if Edward returned to Kuala Lumpuir after the 1931 voyage to the UK, or not.
Presumably he did, as neither he nor Dorothy is visible on the 1939 Register.
