How much research have you done forward ?

It’s too much for helpers to trace your family trees forward

Wendy

The only way to get stories and pictures is to find family members who may have them.

As suggested, look at search/search members trees and keep your fingers crossed. Make sure you have some of tree on here.

The other thing for stories is to try and see if there is anything in the Newspapers. Look at the British Newspaper Archives to see if the have papers that cover the area you need. You can search the papers for free but can’t actually see them

Hi Wendy

You added to someone else's thread so you have only ever had the one unless you started another.

It is easier for helpers if you have one thread as research results can be mirrored and wrong lines can be followed when solved on the other one.

You are new to this as you said and it is so very different to Ancestry it takes a while to get used to it all.

Once you've sorted out the information Shirley has given yiou come back to this thread if you need more.

good luck.
