out of possible interest ................

my maternal gt gt gt grandfather (NOT a Taylor and no connection to you) was born in Almondbury in the late 18th Cnenury, and had moved across to the Oldham area (not far from Rochdale) by 1830 ........

...... in doing that research I discovered that there was a lot of movement across the Pennines from the Almondbury area.

so do not dismiss George Taylor from Almondbury out of hand!
