Hi there,
I'm trying to research my great grandfather. I'm at the very beginning of my search so very little details at the moment.
He was born in Sheffield in 1918.
I know he was an RSMW01 and went to Kenya in October 1951
I have his soldier number 2928828
He passed away in 1962 aged 44 to cancer.
I wondered if anyone could give me some advice on how I take my search further. I'd love to get a copy of his birth certificate and find out more about his career.
Any help would be wonderful. I'd love to give my Nan some info about her father.
