Please can you let me know if I can post a picture of a man in a military uniform ( I can remove the face if its a problem) We believe it is from one of the Afgan Wars and that the collar badges look like bugles possibly a bandsman. His name is W. McCombie He is wearing a Queen Victoria medal. I am trying to identify this man Thanks Pam

You can put it in your "Keepsafe" and make the picture public and then post a link to the page on here so people can take a look at it.

Go back to your Keepsafe and if you have given each photo a title hover over the title and then go to "edit" which should be at the top of the photo and click on that. You should get a box opens up next to the photo and where it says "privacy" click on that and change it to say "Share with everyone". Then copy and paste what is in your browser bar at the top of the page and add this link to your thread so we can click on it to see the photos.

Hope you can understand this.

When you are on the photos look at the url or address it starts www and has the words genes reunited and keepsafe and a code. Go to your first photo and block the url as explained and then hit the keys CTRL and C at the same time, then come back here to your thread and hit keys CTRL and V together and you should get this - a link to your photo for us to see as example here

Repeat with second photo.

Hope this helps :-)

EDIT
When you alter the privacy section to allow us all to see the photos make sure you hit save. :-)

It's not working Pam, look at the link after the code you have http:// Look at the other 2 links they haven't got the http again and they work, You can edit that bit out and I'll see if it then works - error is coming up at the moment.

On his collar it looks like the queen's crown over a bugle. The queen would be Victoria and there's a faint queen's head on the medal. Medal looks similar to a good conduct medal. Am aware that the photo is tinted so medal colours may not be true.

Still not working. Think the only way is for someone to send me an email so I can attach it there Thanks for your patience. Pam

If it's writing can you tell us what it says. It may not make sense to you but someone here might be able to understand it.
