Member Since: April 2006 Posts: 69 Send Message	Thank you oh so much. It's looking more like you found our Bertie for the dates mentioned. Besides the mention of a George that could be either his brother or father, he also had a brother Walter Smith and a nephew James Smith. His sister Rosina (Chatfield Smith) married a Walter Neaves and recorded as living at Woodside Green in the 1911 Census. If our Bertie was in the Army it looks as though it would have been before 1918. Many thanks for your help. :-)
