What a sight for sore eyes
To see all you old guys
Trying to do the fancy foot work
Must really give your heart a jerk
So Allan take it real nice and slow
If to the next meeting you want to go :-)

I'm waiting for the Carpet men
To arrive with my new buy
But we've had a great big problem
and I shall tell you why

Our house is very tiny
and too much "stuff" within
we managed to clear most of it
without taking to the gin!

All that was left for this morning
was to take a big wardrobe out
But OH and my Son-in-Law
All they did was shout!

Cos there's no way that that wardrobe
Was going anywhere
It would not get through the door frame
Without blocking up the stair!

T'was assembled in the bedroom
In situ it was put up
and now it's old it will not take
being pushed and pulled about

So I'm hoping that my Son-in-Law
Is right when he says that they
Will move it back and fore in the room
When it's going to get in their way

So if you hear a great big noise
and sounds of cries and wails
You'll know they couldn't do the job
Down here in South West Wales :-( :-D :-D

Oh what a palaver you are having Jem
Don't worry just leave it to the men
I'm sure in the end it will turn out right
And you'll be sleeping in your bed tonight <3

And now the Water Board is here!
Looking for "a leak" is what they've said
They say if the leak is not outside
It's in our house instead!

Oh my poor head! ...I should have stayed in bed! :-(

They had turned the water off you see
Without a warning word
And now there's no water for our tea
This really is absurd!

I'll give 'em leak ..... and we have plenty of leeks in Wales too! :-P :-D

JemimaFawr

JemimaFawr Report 20 Apr 2017 14:21

The leak was not inside my house
It's starting to get me down
They found it on the road outside
And now our water's brown! :-| :-|

grrrrrr :-D

Here's the latest installment
Of how the bedroom progression all went.....

I had to take the curtains back to the store
A fault in the weave, but would I find more?
Not the same material - quite put off was I
But would I find some nicer ones to buy?!

Indeed I did, and for much less dough
And a better colour that really did go
With the carpet, a perfect colour match
Now the poles I must buy and the curtains attach.

Except now the furniture looks all tatty-
very worn out, in fact, the same as me
It really is almost falling apart
So to the rubbish tip it soon will depart.

Why did I start this decorating endeavour?
I really do fear that it will go on forever!
But I'll think about how lovely it'll look when it's done
But it does feel like years since it all was begun
:-D :-D :-D :-D

Kathryn Report 23 Apr 2017 19:19

What will you do when all is done
and your home is looking it's best
Will you be sitting out in the sun
Enjoying a well earned rest :-)

JemimaFawr

JemimaFawr Report 30 Apr 2017 12:05

Just a little ditty, cos I'm not feeling all that witty :-S :-D

Have a lovely Bank Holiday Weekend Everyone
And lets hope the sky clears and we'll have some sun
If you are going for a nice lunch, or off out for the day
I hope plenty of good times are coming your way!

:-D <3 :-D <3 :-D

Kathryn Report 30 Apr 2017 17:21

Well that's another day nearly over
Now I can have me a bit of fun
Just doing what I want to do
Not something that has to be done :-D

The sun is out, the sky is blue
there's not a cloud to spoil the view ,
to engage my hobby is not too far,
and to get there, I need my car.

woe is me Oh can't you see............
my transport,Sadly, needs an MOT!

Kathryn

Kathryn Report 1 May 2017 18:28

I think I need an m o t
My body's not what it used to be
No quick fixes for this old lass
An mot I won't pass :-D

JemimaFawr

JemimaFawr Report 7 May 2017 18:03

Well Kathy, you may not pass an MOT<3
Nor me either, I would have to agree ...
My bones are stiff, they creak and click
And soon I will have to use a stick:-(
But we can still have lots of laughs, and fun :-)
On the GR Boards until the day is done!:-D :-D :-D

Hope your car is fixed now Bob
To get around is quite a job
When your car's off the road in need of a mechanic
It can really get you into a panic
And to enjoy your hobby you certainly should
Get that Mechanic under the hood! ;-) :-D :-D

Kathryn Report 7 May 2017 18:12

Oooo Jem I'm not arf in trouble
The others on here are gonna burst my bubble
It seems I'm always in a muddle
I think I'm gonna need a cuddle :-S

JemimaFawr

JemimaFawr Report 7 May 2017 20:13

Oh Kathy here's a great big (((((((cuddle)))))))<3
Don't be upset, if you've got in a muddle!
Everyone makes a mistake or two
Especially when they are new, like you!

You're always a pleasure to have around
Your laughter is infectious, that I have found
So don't you worry if others like to tease
It's only in good humour, if you please! :-) :-) :-)

Kathryn

Kathryn Report 9 May 2017 10:28

Well I'm so pleased for that
I don't know what I'd do without a chat
So if I carry on making mistakes
Please don't go and jump in a lake :-D

An SOS was sent my way
I could not refuse that plea
"Oh Gran I'm sick, I cannot cope
Will Granddad come and fetch me"

He was too young to leave his home
When he's ill he wants his Gran
So off OH did drive and got
Our Grandson in his van ( well the car really:-D)

Now I knew no good would come of it
But whatever could I do?
He was so sick he could not stand
and all he did was sp*w:-0

He had to stay here all that night
and had to see the doctor
At 3 o'clock in the morning
It really was a shocker!

Later on that evening I knew I was
Going to get that dratted bug
I awoke that night, before it was light
looking for a jug!
(you might call it a bucket ;-))

So "Radio Jem" was off the air:-0
A first in many years
No rugby broadcast could I do
I was nearly in floods of tears.

But never mind cos I cheered up
I'd recorded the Lions Game
The Lion Roared - the points they scored
And 80 minutes of fame!

Crusaders only got 3 points
All season they'd not been beat
The Lions 12, by Farrell's boot
Crusaders admitted defeat!

:-D :-D :-D

Not seen you for ages on these electronic pages
What ever it is good or bad
Hope it's not left you feeling sad
Just to let you know I think of you
And the fun we had when I hadn't a clue <3 <3 :-)
