Thank you Susan and Rootgatherer, just so you know where I fit in, John Henry Batt and Sarah Barnes were my Great Great Grandparents. My Great Aunt and Great Uncle are buried in Goosey, Denchworth, so it seems that the family have stayed around this area. I really do appreciate all of your help, I am so fascinated by it. Thanks once again, I hope you can read this and that I'm doing it right. Sarah x

Maud could have been his brother's widow, because it states Alice as his niece, am still trying to understand the mysteries of reading the certificates.

I don't see a possible death for Joseph's wife Sarah before 1851. Can you Susan?

Mind you I am not sure why we are going on with this - it would have been nice to have some sort of feedback.
