Thank you Sylvs.....haven't had grapefruit for ages...... :-D

Enjoy the peace Linda, it's lovely to have folk around but, sometimes, it's lovely when they go........ ;-)

Gins.....I don't like fish very much but it's recommended for me. How come, all the tasty fried food is bad for you and yet boring stuff is good?? :-S

Seems like it pelted it down in the night - didn't hear a thing :-D :-D

Hi Gins

thank you for that.

I sometimes forget all the freedoms that we women have here are not found elsewhere. I've come to accept it as normal ...... when it is often abnormal!

night night everyone

Good morning everyone :-D :-D

The sun is shining and 'my' house is going to be empty of visitors today too !!!!! - I will probably waste half my day 'missing' them ;-)

Anyway, for now, I will start with an Ulster Fry-up and then go for a quiet wander around.

Thank you Sylvia <3

Dea hope you enjoyed your "free" day :-)

I have done nothing except cook the M&S £10 meal deal oh and drink the wine :-D

We are going out for a meal with friends tomorrow.

I can't believe that it will be a year on Sunday that OH was diagnosed with cancer and its Fathers Day.
Its been a year of extreme highs and lows but we got through it :-D

Now all I want is to get back to doing my FT it will take me ages cos I will have lost my train of thought :-)

Morning Sylvs and thank you. Porridge and toast please - to help my cholesterol come down a bit :-D :-D

Hi Linda, I hate those up and down years and have had a few of them. :-(
Lovely to know that you are feeling so positive now and able to get on with things. Keep going girl.... :-D :-D

Poor Gins sounds a bit sad at staying sober.......never mind.......think of it as being good fer yer! ;-)

Not sure what is on my agenda today but will take it as it comes.....~~~

Dea

Dea Report 16 Jun 2012 08:45

Good morning all :-)

Well Linds - you will have a double celebration on Sunday then with OH! - One whole extra year AND Fathers' day !!

I am sure that parts of it have been very hard for you both but as you say, you have got through it ! - Here's hoping you get through many more ! <3

I am just going to have some tomato toast and then I will be back later for some chili con carne with garlic bread - It's ages since I had a good Chili!
Hope there is some nice rice somewhere to go with it?

I cooked a whole BIG Wok full on Thursday as Grand-daughter wanted a 'Chinese'. - I always do a lot and then box the rest up and freeze it. We took her home afterwards and I meant to sort it when I got back and it had cooled.

Unfortunately, I was so tired that I forgot all about it and it just sat there in the Wok until Friday morning ! - I didn't want to take a chance and freeze it then so I had to 'bin' the lot. There were at least a dozen good sized portions in there - What a waste !!! :-( :-(

Hope everyone has a good day !!!

See you all later.

Gee

Gee Report 16 Jun 2012 08:55

Dea, food never gets wasted here. I cook a lot and then they all keep picking everytime they go into the kitchen!

Kids and mates turn up and if theres nothing on the hob (leftovers).....mump mump!

I now have a new addication.............Pepsi Max and very expensive Bio Yogurts :-0

Trouble is, I buy the big tubs that are three servings....yeah right, down in one..............................they are fat free (I ignore the sugar content)

.....................help, I need a therapist :-S

Dea

Dea Report 16 Jun 2012 09:09

I don't usually waste things either Ginns but I am a 'stickler' for good food management and hygene! If I had put the rice in the fridge it would have been O.K. to freeze later but I could not bring myself to put it in the freezer after letting it sit on the hob for more than 16 hours - I might have poisoned someone :-0 :-(

'Pepsie Max' ! - Is that as effective as Coca Cola for cleaning toilets ?? I am sure it can't be good for you ;-)

Dea Xxx

Gee

Gee Report 16 Jun 2012 12:12

No, youre right Dea, its not good for you, so I only have one beaker with dinner in the evening and then brush me teef after

My mate got botchulism from rice in a chinese once, she was in intensive care for a cuople of days and hospital for two weeks.......... :-0 Me and Debs (had the meal with her) had the same food but no rice

I would never reheat rice, rather put some fresh on, for safety

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 16 Jun 2012 12:23

I'm not that keen on rice myself but would never take chances with it. I use to quite enjoy rice salads at buffets until I found out about the dangers.

Just watching the Trooping the Colour pagentry. What a fantastic sight. OH loves all the precision of the march and, though I appreciate that, it's the colours and visual effects I love. Should be a flypast when they get back to Buck House. Good to see Prince Philip was able to be with her today.

I'll just make a quick bacon butty while we're waiting.
