Hi All

I've posted this on the Find Ancestors board because that's where most of the duplicate threads are

Please don’t post about the same person/family twice.

Asking AGAIN about the same thing creates duplicate work for the volunteer researchers.

If you want to nudge your thread up to the top of the boards to gain more attention then just add to the thread yourself

Hope this makes sense.

PS; It is intended that the reader of this thread reads the first post only. We chat on here in order to keep the thread around the top of the boards for new people who dont know the procedures...dont be afraid to post, we like helping you.

Of course anyone can join in, but we do have a naughty sense of humour and all the banter is just that and should not be taken seriously

And please dont post a question and disapear out....post when you have time to hang around for a few minutes ;)

If youre looking for BMD's from 1837 - 1950ish you can look for free here

http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl

Also this site has records from accross the world and is free:

https://www.familysearch.org/

I spend a lot of my free time helping others, so please dont report this post as 'abusive' because it just isn't...it's helpful

Happy searching.

Some people can get their "knickers in a knot" about the sillyest things.

You lot will just have to build this thread up now.. see if you can get back over 3000.

Bed time for me now,.. nearly midnight here in Aus.
I will see what all of you have been up to when I check back tomorrow

Renes Report 1 Jul 2010 15:27

Only posting this to put it back in my threads - I enjoyed reading the banter and jokes between you all - perhaps it was 'cause of the first marriage details shown - as I know you are all careful over" living" records - unless of course he had died

Shes reet good at that she is,always upsetting me she is,you want to see the amount of tissues I get through with her making me cry all the time.

Did you see some of the names she called me??

Dai -Gustin it is I tells you.

Bet it was Cynthia what hit the request review button meself .

Fanny leans against lampost whistling innocently...........

jax Report 1 Jul 2010 15:50

I reckon it was your marriage details Fans And the talk of the silk nightie that did it

ja...x

FannyByGaslight

FannyByGaslight Report 1 Jul 2010 15:58

Cor Ja..x,if it was its a bit of luck I didnt go into ALL the details of that 6 month marriage,or whoever it was would have maybe keeled over in a faint and had to wait to recover before hitting that "naughty"button.
Or the even the lovelier details of my 3rd marriage.

Coo, looked at My Threads and there you were gone!!!

I was looking forward to a cuppa, a hobnob and a catch-up.......

Been up to my armpits in homemade icecream for the last 24 hours but just caught a bit of Fans fluttering her eyelashes at Peter last night.

So less of the fibs Fans, you know that crying would get in the way of all that fluttering so I just don't believe Gins would be that cruel to you.

FannyByGaslight

FannyByGaslight Report 1 Jul 2010 16:03

Oh noooooooo.
Peter,we lost Peter.....

Ooooooooo woe is me as I was just beginning to think I had cracked it with him....

You must be frozen around some funny places being that long in Ice cream up to your armpits NL.

CherryBlossom

CherryBlossom Report 1 Jul 2010 16:05

BEHAVE yourself woman........

Not literally Fans!!! That would be most uncomfortable and unhygenic. And probably not a flavour that could be marketed......

PETER!!!!!!

That's a little forward of you - you've only known Fans a few minutes and here you are talking about marriage.

FannyByGaslight

FannyByGaslight Report 1 Jul 2010 16:22

PM sent as you are of the Parker family as well it would seem.

Get the tissues out Peter to catch those tears of laughter at me being such a jerk as to let it last 6 months...

SlingerWood

SlingerWood Report 1 Jul 2010 16:52

It's the welsh bit you see boyo... just can't get over that gilr when I was 17.

Not sure of the Parker family bit though

Not crying Fan... but Bas...d... I just can't imagine any one like that.

Personally I'd string up by the ..........

Gee Report 1 Jul 2010 19:02

Nice to come from a hard day on the M1 and see all 'us' friends again.

Although there are still absences ;)

Just goes to show, you can get a thread deleted but you can’t kill off good friendships!

Homemade ice cream....yum yum

Carry on gang....'as you were'

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 1 Jul 2010 19:04

So HERE you are!

For goodness' sake, who on earth got us deleted? First Sue's thread and now this! The naughty GR deletion fairy or someone with a malicious streak?

.....and don't you blame me Miss FBG thank you very much. The only time I hit the review button I told the poster why I had done it. So shift yerself from that lampost and get some work done - there's people out here who need your help.

Where's our Sylvia - she wasn't around last night I noticed? Hope that knee of hers hasn't buckled and she's fallen off another bus!

I've got Parkers somewhere in my family too you know Peter. There hiding somewhere in the foliage though - can't remember where.

Good to know that so many people enjoyed our mutterings.....actually, maybe Nutterings would be a better word as we're all complete nuts on here.

ps. our Fans doesn't cry so don't be fooled by her......she just makes a noise like a braying donkey with catarrh and then water from her blocked tear glands wend their way down her eyelashes. Not a pretty sight I can tell you. You could re-surface the M1 with the mascara that's washed off.

And....good news

The cocoa shells have kept the cats off the fron garden all day, there is no cat poo (best not say the alternative as we get whooshed)

Nice one Cyns

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 1 Jul 2010 19:14

Have I missed something? Do you mean coconut shells or cocoa beans Gins? [do be more specific dearie] I need something as we are a bit bothered with a cat from down the road.
