and she apperared to remain around new milton hampshire which is district of southampton

Reggie Report 23 Apr 2008 17:01

Try freebmd for Edward's covers up to around 1920

The only way to be sure you have the right one is to order cert(s) quoting father's name as a checking point.

There is no way to learn the father's forename from the GRO index.

Kay???? Report 23 Apr 2008 17:17

If her age is correct.. on 17 Dec 1936 ....@19 she could have been 20 the next day so making her bn end of 1916.....or she could have been 19 during 1936 ....making her bn 1917,

If she was born out of wedlock then as Phyliss M Bishop......there are 2 possiblitys,,,,place of birth /marriage and death/can be many miles apart.

What is the addresses of them on the marriage certificate,?

Emma Report 23 Apr 2008 17:22

dad was born in ashley new milton and address on cert is Ashley common rd new milton

Kay???? Report 23 Apr 2008 17:42

Emma Report 23 Apr 2008 18:34

Ashley common road, new milton looks like house name is housell or hovsell

Reggie Report 24 Apr 2008 15:01

You say 'Edward died in war' you mean that he was a War casualty? In which year did he die?

How old was he on the marriage cert? What date was the marriage? Who were the witnesses?

Reggie Report 24 Apr 2008 15:04

If this is Edward's death, his birth was probably a little later than you suggest......assuming his age was accurate on the death info
