I am trying to find a death certificate for Alexander Kennedy Bern. I take it he was in the Merchant Navy as his employment was as a Sea Cook. Born in Glasgow 1899. His wife died in 1956 and was widowed then (Glasgow) I have tried Ancestry, Scotlands People, but can't find him. Any tips welcome!

Did you get the Droitwich death cert?

He has certainly born at the right time - 1899.

Bearing in mind it was still WW 2 and people moved around a lot it may well be that Droitwich one is your man

Thanks for your replies, very kind of you all :)
The Bern who died from Brechin is from a branch of the family, but not the one I am looking for. It is my husband's family, and I don't think there is anyone I can ask. Will need to get the death cert. from Droitwich to make sure...thanks again.
