Hi Andrea , Thanks for your kind offer of help . Could you find info for me on Leslie Caskie , born 20 may 1876 in Londonderry ? He had a daughter , Catherine Caskie on 12 aug 1896 , possibly in Limavady . Was her mother Elizabeth Tracey ? As they didn`t marry until 3 jan 1903 in Glasgow , Scotland . Or did he have a previous wife ? Any info such as his parents names etc would be most welcome . Cheers Graham .

Andrea

Thank you so much for your help. I was hoping that Isabella would be a McGranahan and her father was Joseph. At least I now know I'm following the right line and perhaps I'll be able to find more information.

Many thanks once again for your time.

Maisy

Andrea

I know I'm being cheeky but could I possibly ask another lookup please. You very kindly found me the marriage for Hugh Kernaghan and Isabella McGranahan. Would you be able to see if there is a marriage for Joseph McGranahan about 1850. I've been searching for this family for 3 years now and always thought the name was wrong. My gt grandfather was Isabella's brother and they have been so difficult to try and find. Thanks, Maisy

I didn't think there would be many in Portaferry. Unfortunately, I don't have anything. My F-i-l was illegitamate so I don't have much to go on.

His name was Thomas Torney born 1920 so if you can find a baptism. That would be good.

We believe that his mother was Jeannie Torney, but thats it! As I said, I have nothing else to go on.

I appreciated your help. Thankyou.

Andrea

Thanks once again for the new information on Joseph McGranahan. I bought some credits on Irish family history but they're wasted if I get it wrong. With your help I've purchased the marriage cert for Joseph and he seems to have the same father as Isabella and also the witness is a Kernaghan so I think it's probably the right family. I probably need to check out a few more things but I feel very positive I'm on the right lines. I really appreciate all your help, your've been very kind.

Best wishes
Maisy
