i have the ssx marriage index 1500 - 1837, if anyone would like a look up.

Many thanks for the kind offer. Can I be cheeky and ask for 2 lookups? The first is:-

William Woods, he married a Mary, their son was born c1771 in Wisborough Green, but I don't know if he was their first so I'm not sure which year, I'll leave it to you, hopefully there might only be one!

The second is:-

William Stone, he also married a Mary. Their earliest child was born
1780 and baptised at Broadwater, Worthing so I presume their marriage was there too.

the only one i can see for the second one anywhere near the right date is to a mary wakeford ,,1779
but not in worthing,,this is west tarring

Please could you look for this person for me

Thomas Emerson Chandler Brighton 1838 or so it says on the 1881 LDS census
But i have looked on freebmd and he is not there,so am wondering if he could have been born a bit earlier
The middle name of Emerson/Emmerson has been handed down through my family.
He married in London in 1857

I will paste in the 1881 census

Sorry not to have replied sooner but i have been away.
Thank you so much for all of the information you have sent me it's great.
I had nothing on Thomas in Brighton so it's very good news for me.
I'm not sure about the Hunts,but i have something to investigate now thanks to you.
I shall order the marriage cert for Thomas and Mary now so will be able to verify parents info with what you have found.
My mum will be over the moon with all this info about her family.We were quite surprised when we found them coming from Brighton.I have another place to visit now!

The 1861 Hunts are on my tree and are the family of Thomas's wife Mary.
