	by pm From V Christine, thank you so much for all the trouble you've been to and sorry for the confusion earlier. Charles was my g-g-g-grandfather, he was born in Bury Lancs on 28.6.1807, so I've just discovered. He married Ruth Farl(h)am on 4.2.1832 in Wigton, Cumberland and died in Wigton aged 32 on 9.1.1840, leaving one son Edward (my g-g-grandfather). Charles may have had a brother called James, if family letters are to be believed. His date of death is from his death certificate

Member Since: November 2007 Posts: 5 Send Message	Charles Smith was born in Bury on 28.6.1807. He married Ruth Farl(h)am in Wigton, Cumberland, on 4.2.1832. He died on 9.1.1840. His date of death is from his death certificate, and all other information from a family notebook I have just unearthed. A family letter apparently is from his brother James, a block printer, but I know no more about his family, except that he had children Jonah, Edward, John and Joseph. Only Edward survived to adulthood (my g-g-grandfather). Thanks very much for any help you can give.
