To do that you would have to know the Address they lived at,that Mark was on the electoral roll and go to the local library of the address to look it up (I think)

You can try at the 1911 address

Address:
231 Great Russell St Birmingham

But of course they may have moved.

The death cert in Aston may be Hannah and give some clues as to where they moved to or if she died while away from home it would have her home address as well.

that was why i asked how to track them after 1911 would it be by the electoral roll

This one matches Hannahs birth year.

Name: Hannah Smith
Death Registration Month/Year: 1921
Age at death (estimated): 70
Registration district: Aston
Inferred County: Warwickshire
Volume: 6d
Page: 436

Zena,sorry .
I have edited my last post on page 2,please check out the other marriage I have added..
Sorry.

Yorkshire seems too far out to me and they would have been very young in 1837...

Gotta go.
Check back later...

so do you think i should go for that rather than the yorkshire one ????. have to say now you said it i did think was a big gap myself

FannyByGaslight

FannyByGaslight Report 9 May 2010 18:03

There is this marriage in Birmingham.

After Hannah and Emmas birth its true, but one to bear in mind I think..

Marriages Dec 1851
Smith John Birmingham 16 499

Or one in Staffs just before the birth of George on 1851.

Marriages Sep 1847
Smith John Stafford 17 147

The Staffs one is the one I would go for first as it is in the area that Mary was from.

Why did you have to have Smith ancestors ?????

zenawarrior Report 9 May 2010 17:56

the address is also the same on the 51 census as on his birth cert
