There are two potentially good matches in the death index I was also eyeing:

Name: Arthur E Norton
Death Registration Month/Year: 1946
Age at death (estimated): 59 = c1887
Registration district: Romford
Inferred County: Essex
Volume: 4a
Page: 675

I'd bet on that one, but also:

Name: Arthur E Norton
Death Registration Month/Year: 1961
Age at death (estimated): 74 = c1887
Registration district: Dartford
Inferred County: Kent
Volume: 5b
Page: 382

I wonder whether Arthur also married:

Name: Arthur E Norton
Spouse: Annie Thomas
Date of Registration: Oct-Nov-Dec 1930
Registration district: Pancras
Registration county (inferred): Middlesex
Volume Number: 1b
Page Number: 37

and if so, whether his widow married again ...

Name: Annie Norton
Spouse: Eaton (likely born 1926, died 2001)
Date of Registration: 1950

That's getting a little close to the present for privacy purposes so I've left it vague ... there seem to be several children to the marriage over the next decade, so that looks unlikely.

Genie 21 - you have replied to a post which is over 5 years old. You could try clicking on Faith's name and send her a personal message - if she still has the same email address that she registered with GR she will be notified there is a message in their system for her.

Don't bank on a reply, there might not be one for many reasons
