Could someone with worldwide ancestor do a look up - re Canada. I have Robert Watson born in Greenock in 1869 to Susan Motherwell and Samuel Watson (evidence on LDS) - 1869.

He went to Canada - source is my Great Aunt who is 94 - who confirmed this yesterday to my Mum. We think he may have been married - potential 7 candidates from Scotland people between 1885-1910. Don't want to burn all my credits on someone tangential - is there a way of getting ages?

Seems about right - although is this saying that he travelled to Canada in 1922 or did he go into USA then (or both).

Don't think so - i have checked quite a few Robert Watson's but to no avail - and a few credits gone.

Is there an easy way to check for his marriage - with Samuel Watson as the grooms father - and with his age linked to his birthdate. the first Robert Watson on the entry to Canada (border crossing) seems a more likely candidate as he was born in Greenock and the birthdate is about correct. Is there a way of check out who he was travelling back as that may be a way of narrowing the search

Bingo times 5 - that means he went alone before 1907 (unless he was married. Birth date was 1869 so this makes age correct

yep she was a widow. as I said the image looks like 1917 to me.

Ok - we have something interesting here

Just rang my Ma - it would seem that he was married in Scotland (My Ma's Aunt(who is 94) remembers Uncle Robert sending parcels from Canda - presumably in the early 1920s)

The middle name Smith is something new to us.

We think he could have committed bigamy ............ and put in Smith to throw people of the scent . that said - he did give his parents names (so maybe me and my ma are being a little conspiratorial)

any births or children with Robert and Annie

Better still - any sign of a Scottish wedding with Robert as the groom and Samuel Watson and Susan Motherwell as the parents.

But Robert was 46 and Annie 42 when they married. Unlikely there'd be children.
