Hi all.

I am tracing my maternal lineage and have got back to my great grandmother, who I believe to be Constance Helen Jury (DOB c 1882), married to a William Jones (DOB c 1880). They are showing as living in London.

I have got the mothers name of Constance as Ellen Jury (married name I guess), however, I cannot find her maiden name, and marriage, etc.

Am I missing a simple check, as I seem to be hitting a brick wall now?

You really need to get Constance B/C for her Mum's maiden name

That is the one on the 1881 census Julie. He was a clerk. They were both of 20 Brecknock Crescent.

Please will you post that Census, so that we can all see it

How did you get back to them?


Where did you find their marriage? None of us can seemingly find such a marriage.

What proof do you ahve thta Constance Helen Jury is your maternal gt grandmother?

Thank you to you all.

I was not expecting such a quick and detailed response.

I will need to double check some of the details here, but I have found from the 1891 Census that Ellen (?Sharp) had sent her children to Nottingham to stay with a Thomas and Sarah Ann Sharpe, and in the 1911 Census Ellens place of birth was showing Nottingham.

As soon as I get more time to look into this info, I will be back.
