Hello Steve, welcome to the boards.

It's a year since Jane posted her request so the best way to contact her would be to click on her name to send a direct message,.

She may not be checking here for further responses.

This looks to be a branch of a Goodwin Family that I am researching in Suffolk (Woodbridge and Ipswich). Charles Archibald son of Frederick (butcher) son of Benjamin Goodwin, clock case maker at Clerkenwell and Islington. Benjamin's father was George Rust Goodwin. More details of the family business set up in Ipswich (Titchmarsh and Goodwin) and a newspaper article in 1847 of an inquest into George Rust Goodwin's death are on the internet.

This is probably the death of Louisa's mother:

Looks like he was recorded as Oswald in 1881:

So he must have married Sarah Ann Pryke.

MarieCeleste Report 3 Jun 2012 15:02

This looks like his marriage but I'm unable to find him on 1881 or 1891 to see which of the brides was his:

and this looks like his death:

The unnamed daughter on this 1861 is actually a son called Osman (Osmond, and the mother is possibly Eleanor). The sister Georgiana is who Osmond was staying with in 1901:

Is this a possible for his mother's remarriage?

Oh dear, he probably was older than two if he can remember that, poor thing.

Some further info from his parent's marriage

Neither had been married before and both put address as 42 St James Road.

Charles father was deceased but had been a butcher. Louise's father's name looks more like Osmond and he was a "chaff-cutter". Charles was a horse-keeper.

The witnesses were Minnie Layton and Frederick Goodwin.
