Do some research yourself - buy certs if necessary

So is it Herbert Charles or Charles Herbert?

ErikaH

ErikaH Report 1 Jul 2012 22:31

Look for the info yourself on freebmd - genealogy is about doing one's own research where possible - and freebmd is certainly that

Ah dear Bromley is the one I know about! He's my great grandfather. He married Eveline Eleanor Nurse :-) So is it Herbert Charles or Charles Herbert? Did he marry?

Thanks :-)

BUT

On page one of this thread are two possible deaths for Laura and Beatrice (Dulcie) which appear to show they died as single women but you would need to get the death certs to confirm they are the two you are looking for

Hello Glitterbaby,

I am sorry, I said thanks collectively - I meant for your help to!

Please re-read my post however, the births have been covered but I am actually looking at their marriages and subsequent children (i.e. the next generation). I have read through previous information and I have just had another look to clarify I haven't missed anything.

Harriet's Mother was Harriet Collerson Rounds and Charles Wesley Bailey was the Father. Hope this helps. I am mildly dyslexic so sometimes I miss things in text - nothing personal.

Thanks again though.

The names of the parents will be on the birth cert, which will cost £9.25 including postage if ordered on line from the GRO

Again I feel I am wasting my time

You have not acknowledged the 1911 census I posted for Harriett.

The answers about Laura and Beatrice (Dulcie) are on page one of this thread

Was Norman C Dale born in Coventry in 1913 another of their children? How can I look up who Laura Bailey born 1871 married and whether any children were born and the same for Beatrice born 1882 and Charles born around 1872/1873? I looked on National Archives 1911 census basic listing and there is no trace of them!

Thanks

Hello, can anyone confirm which man Harriet Bailey born in Coventry in 1877 married? Presuming she stayed in Coventry these are the options:

DALE John Slade Coventry 6d 935
Gilbert Reginald Fred Coventry 6d 935
SUMNER Edith Coventry 6d 935

Thanks.

I feel as if I wasted my time as a lot of information was already given on the other thread

Please keep to one thread per family

Hello, thank you every so much for this information. I will obviously look at the other resources as well but sometimes, as I think anyone can understand, it can be far from clear with basic information. The information you provided from the censuses has been exceptionally helpful in ironing out a duplication and allowing for the cross reference of other historical information.

Thanks again :-).
