Hi l am trying to find my great great grandfather Joseph Ryles he was a boot maker in Blackpool he had a daughter called Elizabeth she married Alexander Dewar they had 12 children and lived in Barrow-in-furness Janet |

According to the 1911 census Alexander & Elizabeth had only had 8 children, 7 still living and she was 47 at the time. Did she have 4 more children at that age? |

There's this one in 1871 with father Joseph ( but he's fireman ) , and daughter not born Bury so not sure it's the same one who married Alexander Dewar |

l am sorry l have not been in touch but l have not done much with the tree the things you have found are right my grandmother did have 11 childern l was told she had boys and girls through her 11 childern some of the boys did not live long Maud was the first and Phyllis was the last Joseph was on Elizabeth marries records and his trade was list as bootmaker and his address was 42 Blackpool street or road Elizabeth was married in North Shields Janet |

But on the 1911 census Phyllis is the youngest child, aged 10 and Elizabeth clearly states that she had 8 children, 7 still living, 1 had died. |
