I'm a bit stumped as to where to go from here. I'm trying to trace my paternal great grandfather and grandmother.

Information I have so far is:

My father: John Arthur Louis Hardy
Born 1920 (Paddington, London)
Died 1984

His Mother: Christiana Metcalfe (incorrectly sometimes shown as Christina)
His father: John Hardy - Born abt 1883/died 1963

I know that my great grandfather's father's name was James and that when my grandfather and grandmother married in 1920 he was deceased and was a general dealer.

I do not know what my great grandmother's name was (although I had found some records for a Margaret Bone and in the 1901 Census a family with these names lived with their 2 sons; John and James in Marleybone, London - so a possibility?)

Earlier Census records have revealed nothing to me.

Any help on what or where I should be looking would be greatley appreciated.

Thank you
