Hi,
Anyone have any info on a John Best c1830's - 40's, had a son Henry Best c 1858. Not sure where John born, only info I have is he was a sawyer and Henry his son was born in Wareham Dorset.
Grateful for any/all help.

GlitterBaby, I have loads of info on Henry and his family, thanks but will look into a couple of things you have shown. I have nothing at all on John except a wedding certificate with his name on, stating he was a sawyer.

Who were the witnesses on the marriage cert and when & where did it take place.

Just wondering if the 1851 census is correct then Eliza could be his mother.

Still think that John on the marriage cert could be his grandfather given the occupation especially if he was with his grandparents on two census and probably did not now his father
