Have you tried researching him?

lostmeboardname Report 21 Nov 2012 15:44

It doesnt give his birth year, so there are too many to sift through.

The man in the photograph belongs to the RAF Regiment which I don't think was formed until the early 1940's
Their job in the main was to defend RAF airfields

Barry (ex RAF)

edit - googled RAF Regiment - was formed January 1942

What is the reason for your post?

Reggie Report 21 Nov 2012 15:50

One would have thought that someone at the BBC could distinguish between Army and RAF uniforms

Vera Report 21 Nov 2012 15:50

According to records of this John Ringwood his wife was Annie living at the same address.

Regards Vera

Thanks for posting this Vera. I found it interesting as some of my lot come from that area. Sadly he isn't one of mine.

Reggie. I'm sure that I cannot be the only one who does not keep every name on their tree on here. I have many names to add when I have the time and inclination to double check it all and put them on.
