I am looking for my partner's mum's side of the family the last name is james and so far i have got Wilfred james who was born in 1927 and died in 1989 and his mother was Olga Spencer who was born in 1892 finding this side of the family really hard at the moment.

So, Wilfred was a twin?

Based on the above I am hazarding a guess, but you need Wilfred junior's birth cert to confirm:

I know you aren't sure, but the above marriages make perfect sense - note Olga Brown married a Wilfred James so his name supports the evidfence.
I am 99% sure this is the right couple. But the younger Wilfred's birth cert is essential, as there is more than one Wilfred James on the census so you need more information.
