I went to the library today to check out a census but I dont think its the correct one

Looking for Matthew Armstrong born c1840 Allendale Northumberland
He married Mary Barrow born c1836 Allendale in 1869
He is a cartman in 1881 living in Tynemouth

Also can you find him in 1861 hopefully living with his parents. Sorry I dont know their names

Could it be a T for middle initial

Found a birth for William Thomas Armstrong in 1885 Newcastle
I know sometimes middle names are added at baptism

If this was a direct family I would have bought certs but it isnt
