merediths all came from various parts of wales and very few had moved away from pontypridd which is why i am sure he died there as did 2 of his sons and a grandson
i have tried looking for evan in other peoples tree and no one else seems to have him which is why i have probably hit a dead end

There are many people alive today who are over 100. So he could quite easily have died after 2005. You need the birth date to help confirm deaths before 2005.
Were all his children born in Wales?
Have you contacted the other people who have him in their trees to ask them for information?

As you know by now, freebmd does not cover after about 1955

And familysearch is a waste of time...........they don't have recent info, and they scarcely ever include deaths........they don't embrace the concept of death

You haven't answered the question about how far forward you've traced him..............

And, as you knew he'd married and fathered children, you should have told us..............

Was he around when his children married?

Have you considered getting Ancestry's 14-day free trial.......................you ask a lot for recent info, and you could use the trial to do some research of your own.

thank you for posts guys i have gone to david posted in 1911 census and i have got evan's marriage children and some of his grandchildren and i would have thought that being born in 1905 he would not have died after 2005
i have looked on free bmd genes reunited and familysearch.org

His death may have been registered without the use of his middle name.

You say he was born between April and June 1905, if you are going by this

then all that means is that his birth was registered between April and June. He may have been born weeks before the birth was registered. I believe that his birth may have been anytime between mid February and the end of June.

If you have his birth certificate then an exact date may help locate his death - assuming he died in England or Wales.

Deaths on Ancestry go up to 2005 and he may have died after then.
