Member Since: December 2012 Posts: 50 Send Message	Royal Navy At Sea And In Ports Abroad 1861 census. How can i find out which ship he was on if any? John Perkins- 1838 croydon surrey. parents- William Perkins & Ann Perkins (Legg) he doesn't appear on the 1871 census ,well i can't find him, but he reappears in 1881 in reigate with his parents. he died i believe in 1888.. it say's he was an "Ordinary" .. thank you for reading :-D

	Hello Natasha, he was on the "Cressy", the captain was Thomas Harvey. On the night of the census the ship was at Lat: 37.5N , Long: 11.46E in the Mediterranean. (Somewhere in the Sicilian Channel) (Just scroll back through the original images to the first page of the enumeration book).

	If you go to page 1 of the census images you'll see that the ship was the "Cressy" with 80 guns, captain Thomas Harvey. It was in the Mediterranean, Lat 37.5 N, Long 11.46 E.
