Could someone please access the familysearch.org site for me and check these marriages. Unfortunately I am unable to access the site as my browser is not compatible (whatever that means). This information was sent to me by a relative but I've noticed that the two marriages are on different dates and want to check if it could be the same couple but mixed up dates, I've found a possible family on the 1851 Wales Census surname spelt Aron but not for two James Aarons married with wife Ellin Aaron.
James Aaron Wales, Denbighshire, Parish Registers, 1538-1912 06 Jan 1850 Ruabon, Denbighshire, Wales spouse Ellin Williams
Ellen Williams, "Wales, Denbighshire, Parish Registers, 1538-1912"
name: James Aaron event: Marriage event date: 16 Feb 1850 event place: Ruabon, Denbighshire, Wales age: 21 estimated birth year: 1829 spouse: Ellen Williams film number: digital folder number: 004229523
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Chris

Chris it is the same marriage, The earlier date is when the vicar says the Banns in church and has to do for at least 3 weeks before the couple can get married.
Thye would have married on the 16 Feb 1850.

Thankyou Sue for explaining that.
Ellen Williams was James Aarons first wife and they had a child William according to the 1851 Census (surname misspelt as Aron). My Great Grandmother was James Aarons daughter but to his second wife. We have only just received the Certificate for the marriage of James Aaron and Ann Jones married in Ruabon Denbighshire in 1852 and to our surprise found that he was a Widower when he married Ann Jones hence the search for his first wife.
Unfortunately I have been unable to find deaths for Ellin and William Aaron, however I have found deaths for an Ellen and William Williams which was Ellens maiden name registered in JFM 1851 Wrexham Denbighshire, not sure what I should make of it, if anyone has any suggestions would love to hear from you, no deaths under surname Aaron?

'my browser is not compatible'
are you using firefox?
when I try on there it gives me some strange pages which do not seem to be usable though it is fine on my laptop with a slightly different windows version (I think one is Windows 7 pro and the other windows 7 home)
if this is your problem try using IE instead - not tried on google chrome

Thanks Chris for your post, well we now definately have the 1st marriage for James Aaron sorted, thankyou to the kind member who sent me the parish register copy of the marriage (I have emailed you a thankyou reply).
Andy I have checked my GGrandmothers birth certificate the surname spelling on that certificate is Ahern which is why I had trouble finding her birth record and took a gamble which paid off. As I look more closely at it, it could easily be transcribed as Aharn also, I guess the transcriber took a guess.
I've not been able to find anything on what happened to William their son, he is not living with James and his second wife Ann on the 1861 Census, I've just assumed he died also but haven't pinned down a death for him yet.
Lancashire Ann I'm not up with computer stuff but I am running internet explorer for windows 7 apparently, everytime I try to access the igi site it stuffs up my computer and it runs very slow, I've recently contacted our telco out of sheer frustration and they have changed my internet explorer to one without any add-ons which is working fine with every site except IGI, IGI tells me to change my browser but when I click on change browser button nothing happens and I have to control alt delete. I don'tt know why they can't just tell us what browser will work with their site, if anyone knows could you let me know. I'm also scared of changing browser because I don't know what will happen to my computer and info I have on it, I'm assuming its ok to change browser without any effect on my computer not sure if I'm willing to take the risk. If any one else has experienced this problem with IGI site let us know what to do please.
Many thanks to all Christine

This is my ggg grandparents' marr:
groom's name: William Slessor bride's name: Christian Slessor marriage date: 23 Dec 1820 marriage place: Old Deer,Aberdeen,Scotland indexing project (batch) number: M11228-5 system origin: Scotland-ODM source film number: 993350 reference number: Citing this Record "Scotland, Marriages, 1561-1910," index, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/XTJM-J3L : accessed 15 Jan 2013), William Slessor and Christian Slessor, 23 Dec 1820; citing reference , FHL microfilm 993350.
However, William lived in the next parish, so banns had to be proclaimed there, too. Note FS don't distinguish between marrs and banns in this collection:
groom's name: William Slessor bride's name: Christian Slessor marriage date: 21 Dec 1820 marriage place: Longside,Aberdeen,Scotland indexing project (batch) number: M11218-5 system origin: Scotland-ODM source film number: 993340 reference number: Citing this Record "Scotland, Marriages, 1561-1910," index, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/XTNR-Y6F : accessed 15 Jan 2013), William Slessor and Christian Slessor, 21 Dec 1820; citing reference , FHL microfilm 993340.
I'ld suggest you google for Chrome download, and then download their free browser. If you get the choice, you could decline making Chrome your default browser.
I have both IE and Chrome on my PC. I mostly use Chrome, but I do use IE for some things, like Windows updates and accessing FreeCEN. If I do a copy & paste from FreeCEN, Chrome gives me pretty big indents on the body of the census, much bigger than IE, not that you can tell from below, as GR reformats things a bit:

I wonder if William Aron was rego'ed as William Williams - there were a couple of births in Ruabon, Checking the local refs of the other names on the same page, we can say the Ruabon births correspond to:
Births Jun 1849 (>99%) Williams William Wrexham 27 292
Births Dec 1849 (>99%) WILLIAMS William Wrexham 27 237

there are one or too other slight variations to this which do not work as normal as they seem to be making some changes to the familysearch web pages

To Lancashire Ann - I have jumped in the water head first and have downloaded Google Chrome its free.
I've realised the problem with my computer was because I didn't install a very important windows update which was SP1 (Service Pack 1) if I had done that instead of ignoring it all my problems wouldn't have happened.
My instinct was to blame my internet service provider because I only had problems with speed on the internet, they helped me a great deal to get my internet running up to speed but at the cost of disabling some of my add ons which was most annoying but speed and access was key in my mind.
Although I had my speed up to date as far as the internet was concerned I was still unable to access the IGI or familysearch.org site because it kept saying my browser was not compatible, by this time I realised I needed to install the windows update service pack 1, unfortunately because my add ons were disabled I was not able to update, so I decided to install Google Chrome, my though was I had nothing to lose.
I went on to family search site got the message at the top my internet browser was not compatible with their site, I clicked on choose another browser and chose Google Chrome it only takes a few minutes to install and its free. I have even downloaded all my favourites from Internet Explorer to Google and can access my most used sites just the same as when on Internet Explorer, I shall keep both on the computer and if one fails me I will use the other.
It might be worth you looking into doing the same to fix your problems, if you have any questions I will be glad to help if I can.
Regards Christine

To mgnv
I now have google chrome and am able to access IGI familysearch.org without any problems.
I'm with you on the fact that William could have had the surname Williams, lots of research to be done regarding this and Sue in Leeds is helping me narrow things down. Hopefully we will get to the bottom of it.
Just one question, in the old days (like one or two years ago) on the IGI site you used to be able to get a family group sheet, I think it was by typing in the batch number, I have a few printouts which were helpful and I refer to even now, it didn't always work but in some cases it did, I can't see how to get them now, do you know how this can be done or have they scraped it.
Regards Christine

Re family sheets - the info is there, but it's not explicitly stated that it comes from a family sheet. There was one useful one in my tree - it gave 5 sisters of my gg gran - at least, I'm confident it did, although I've only checked 3 of them out.
So here's how I get mine. I start at: https://familysearch.org/search/collection/list#page=1®ion=UNITED_KINGDOM_IRELAND Select the collection of interest - here International Genealogical Index (IGI) This search screen is headed by a radio buttonm selecting between: Community Indexed IGI (Vital and church records from the early 1500s to 1885) Community Contributed IGI (Personal family information submitted to the LDS Church)
So here I selected "contributed", and searched for kids of Robert Shand & Jane England - I get: Search Results for Community Contributed IGI 1-5 of 5 results for > Father Name: robert shand, Mother Name: jane england
Christina Shand International Genealogical Index (IGI) birth: ABT 1800 Aberdour,? Aberdeen,? Scotland death: 10 JAN 1868 Aberdour,? Aberdeen,? Scotland parents: Robert Shand,? Jane England
Jane Shand International Genealogical Index (IGI) birth: ABT 1802 Aberdour,? Aberdeen,? Scotland death: 23 APR 1889 Aberdour,? Aberdeen,? Scotland parents: Robert Shand,? Jane England
Isabella Shand International Genealogical Index (IGI) birth: ABT 1804 Aberdour,? Aberdeen,? Scotland death: 21 JUL 1887 Pitsligo,? Aberdeen,? Scotland parents: Robert Shand,? Jane England
Helen Shand International Genealogical Index (IGI) birth: ABT 1811 Aberdour,? Aberdeen,? Scotland death: 15 JUN 1887 Fraserburgh,? Aberdeen,? Scotland parents: Robert Shand,? Jane England
Marjorie Shand International Genealogical Index (IGI) birth: ABT 1823 Aberdour,? Aberdeen,? Scotland death: 15 DEC 1901 Savoch,? Aberdeen,? Scotland parents: Robert Shand,? Jane England
I reckon the submitter had the d.certs, since there's an exact d.o.d. for all 5, and computed the birth date from the age. Helen was the first one I checked - she died 15/6/1877 a=76. Her d.cert names her parents (it's a Scottish d.cert) and says Helen Grieve was a widow of William. So her pob could be gotten from the census - e.g.,
