If her parents weren't married, she would have been registered as Malone...........so all the Bray births are irrelevant.

Malone is certainly an Irish name.........

" my half brother managed to trace my mother by the name she was using"

What was that name?????

Was your half sister Margaret born in 1944?

Can we go back to the beginning with this Valerie. What is your date of birth and what name were you born under?

patchem

patchem Report 21 Jan 2013 07:10

Could the birth that I posted be her?
When were you last in contact with her, and what name was she using?
If you know an exact date of birth, then deaths can be looked for using that information, regardless of current surname (but obviously correct name helps).
Do you know if she ever married - so that if there is a certificate you could find her Father's name?
Thank-you

patchem Report 20 Jan 2013 22:47

When were you last in contact with your Mother, and what name was she using then?
Do you think she could have been born in Ireland (which could be why her birth is not obvious)?
Thank-you.

By demobbed, could she also mean after National Service which continued after WW2?

MarieCeleste

MarieCeleste Report 20 Jan 2013 18:20

Would that Charles Frederick be old enough to be demobbed after WW2?
