thanks everyone ,i know this is all a bit sketchy but im not sure what name my mother used it could have been bray or malone my brother is called robert bray but im sure this is his name he was last known to be living in blandford in dorset he was stationed in blandford forum with the army i know he married a girl i think she was called elizabeth this would have been about 1972

Reggie Report 21 Jan 2013 10:50

If her parents weren't married, she would have been registered as all the Bray births are irrelevant.

Malone is certainly an Irish name.........

" my half brother managed to trace my mother by the name she was using"

What was that name?????

PricklyHolly Report 21 Jan 2013 09:24

Astra Report 21 Jan 2013 07:44

Was your half sister Margaret born in 1944?

Can we go back to the beginning with this Valerie. What is your date of birth and what name were you born under?

patchem Report 21 Jan 2013 07:10

Could the birth that I posted be her?
When were you last in contact with her, and what name was she using?
If you know an exact date of birth, then deaths can be looked for using that information, regardless of current surname (but obviously correct name helps).
Do you know if she ever married - so that if there is a certificate you could find her Father's name?

Unknown Report 21 Jan 2013 00:21

hi my half sister was called margaret,i think my mother was probably born in ireland but cannot be sure ps sorry about the lack of punctuation but im only just learning .

patchem Report 20 Jan 2013 22:47

When were you last in contact with your Mother, and what name was she using then?
Do you think she could have been born in Ireland (which could be why her birth is not obvious)?

Patricia Joan Bray
Date of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep 1921
Registration district: Rathdown
Birth Country: Ireland
Volume: 2
Page: 745
FHL Film Number: 101079

Reggie Report 20 Jan 2013 22:01

Who is the Margaret you mention above?

Reggie Report 20 Jan 2013 21:59

There are two other Bray/Everett births....none for a Patricia

Look yourself at freebmd for the details

Reggie Report 20 Jan 2013 21:58

Please tell us what you mother's name was.............

Did you actually know her?

Reggie Report 20 Jan 2013 21:55

Sorry.......hope you don't mind, but I can't cope with blocks of unpunctuated text

hi thanks for the response

my brothers father was robert lovack a french canadian im not sure if spelling is right but i know he was supposed to contribute to roberts upbringing by a courti

dont know margarets father except he died in the war

my mother supposedly had two sisters both partially sighted and living in instituitions

i think they were called beatrice lillian and elizabeth margaret could be either combination

my mothers brother was charles frederick bray and he moved to kingston upon thames after demob

Unknown Report 20 Jan 2013 21:50

i think my mothers mother was from county cork wicklow?

patchem Report 20 Jan 2013 19:58

Do you know when and where your Mother was born, and was her name Patricia Bray at birth?

I have been told that her Mother was 14 at birth of first child, and parents may have been Irish. Also, various lies told so information....

Unknown Report 20 Jan 2013 19:51

yes possibly and hendon and stepney in the 1940s were together

patchem Report 20 Jan 2013 19:47

By demobbed, could she also mean after National Service which continued after WW2?

MarieCeleste Report 20 Jan 2013 18:20

Would that Charles Frederick be old enough to be demobbed after WW2?

patchem Report 20 Jan 2013 18:00

Charles Frederick Bray
Birth Date: 30 May 1928
Date of Registration: May 1992
Age at Death: 64
Registration district: Hendon
Inferred County: Middlesex
Volume: 13
Page: 481
But Hendon is not Richmond.

And Patricia not showing.
