Find Ancestors

Hi
I believe some of my relations were killed in the above disaster, i only have UK and Irish sub to ancestry and wonder if someone with worldwide might be able to help.
The relation in question is
George Henry Wonfor born 1844 UK, son of Joseph Wonfor and Caroline Hornblower.
I believe George married Clara Ryder in 1870, i believe they had 5 children, Clara then died in 1881.
Someone else has on ancestry that George then married Selena (however i cant find a marriage) They may have had more children together...and they are who i believe drowned in the above incident.
Any information, either census, birth, death or passenger list would be most appreciated.

Mike the info you have posted for 1871, the birth and marriage to clara ryder is what i have.

Glitterbaby, i did see that marriage (it came up as a hint but i wasnt sure) on the marriage of him to clara he is listed as batchelor and i cant find a death for maria wonfor?
Im still not 100% on the marriage to Clara, they appear to have married in Yorkshire? He was born London and at a young age was taken to Dublin but then came back but Yorkshire just seemed to far out?

As an artist and photographer he would have travelled so Yorkshire not too far fetched.

He's with Clara on censuses.

Just re checked the 1900 census in Delaware
George H Wonfor was a PHOTOGRAPHER!

Saying that Joseph Wonfor was a chemist so it is possible that that marriage to Maria is him aswell

1900 census states he emigrated to the US in 1881

Well his occupation and that of his father match on both marriages so he can not have been a batchelor when he married Clara.

Also just noticed that 1900 return is Delaware, Pennsylvania but they are on City Directories in Campden, New Jersey in 1902 and 1903 which is where the deaths were registered.
It looks as though his son was called George Alfred Wonfor.
1900 census confirms that this was Selina's only child

Anne the son George was he drowned too? Was he born US? Is he a son of George and Selina or George and one of his other wives?

Looks like George Alfred was the son of George with Selina.
This boy did not drown and can be found with his wife on all subsequent returns up until 1940
He too was a photographer with his own studio

Thanks Anne the 1910 census you just posted states his mothers name is Alice because it was...it is George the son (named after grandfather that it is about)?! It would appear George the son of George and Selina married Alice and they had a son named George
