Could anyone help me with Williamina Ewing born 1889 Insch Aberdeen. she was the daughter of Jane Ewing and stepdaughter of William Coutts.
did she go on to marry and have family?
Also Jane Ewing above mentioned above had a half brother mother Jane Shand and dad William Wilson. His name is William Wilson Shand born Kennethmont Aberdeen he married a Jane Milton cannot find if they had family.Thank you

Yeah Ann, it's a pity the FS censuses don't put the whole h/h together on their UK transcriptions like they do on their US ones. Only England & Wales 1871/81 are really of much use. Anyways here's the Scottish 1891 h/h:

Thank you folk. William Wilson Shand i dont know when he married . All i know is he married Jane Milton and that he died 7-12-1935 at Fyvie aberdeen. Informant at death was george Law Fowlie - brother in law. Also i noticed on a Mcrobbie census their was another daughter i didnt know existed Margaret Mcrobbie or Maggie?
This family on Dads mums side is so confusing so many children out of wedlock to Jane and margaret Shand. There is more but been able to find a bit more on them.

If you don't know when/where he married, where did you get the 'info' about his wife's name?

A couple by those names were married in Aberdeenshire in 1915 according to SP.

Susanne probably discovered that William Wilson Shand had married from his DC. Scottish ones have more info than the English and Welsh versions.

Thank you for your for help and suggestions. I have done many of my family trees and helped so many with there families but ive found this side of my dads so awkward as i said before with so many children born out of wedlock, I have worked very hard on this side managed to find a lot, I was given the marriage of William Wilson Shand by a very nice lady in Aberdeen. Also ive tried to find the dad of my grandma who was known as Mary Mackie Shand so he must have been a Mackie. She was one of 4 children with different dads i have founf them.
