John Thomas Davis c1854 Bishops Waltham who married Mary Jane Hack
and
John Tank Davis born 1853 Droxford district.

If you want to be 100%, buy Ronald's birth cert.............

...................then the cert of the marriage of his parents

Looking at the evidence on here, your 'contact' has almost certainly given you inaccurate info.

You will need the birth cert for Reginald Augustus Davis

It is quite simple. As Porkie_Pie has advised if Ronald Augustus Davis's ancestors are your concern then you must obtain a copy of his birth certificate to ascertain for certain who his parents were before you can proceed any further.

I said at the beginning that I was confused.I have spent several hours at this and am still not 100% sure.

to be sure you have the correct family you need to buy Reginalds birth cert

The family you are or your contact is connecting to John Davis 1883 married a Hack? so cannot be Reginalds mother

I also posted a marriage that fits the Davis Hoare marriage in 1915 and fathers name was NOT John

His marriage to Mary Ann Hack gives his name as John Thomas Davis not John Tank Davis.

I think John Tank was to old to be Ronald Augustus Davis grandfather?
