Once you have confirmed the father's name, see if there are surviving WW1 service records. A large percentage were burnt in WW2 bombing, but you may be lucky

Assuming he did serve, If the full record has survived, you may find that there is correspondence on his discharge, giving the current address at that time.

As you have the address of your grt grandfather on his marriage, you could research that on the ER. These are likely to be held at an Archive, or main public library. If there are other Hill's living there, you can track forward and backwards until you lose them. ER are only searchable by address.

Confirm his siblings by purchasing their BC, then their MC and do the same with the addresses.

Be warned.... the cost of all these certificates may hurt your wallet!

No it will not

Any birth cert relates only to the child whose birth is registered.

The parents' full names will be recorded as will the father's occupation

Both of your threads are about the same person..................so are considered duplicates

To find later children, use the known info to look for records on freebmd........

Thanks for the help, and this THREAD was not suppose to be like my other thread. Clearly in my post, this thread was asking how to clarify and search records AFTER 1911 till now? But Thanks all for the help, there are so many different things to look into from your posts so I will have to clarify my g-grandparents names with a Birth Certificate... Will the birth certificate also provide me with the DoB or Age of parents and/or number of siblings?

Daniel,
What was the point of asking us for the same information that you had already received?
I appreciate that you wanted clarification, but we tend to check out your information as a starting point.

You say on this thread, also started today, that you are awaiting Arthur R Hill's birth certificate. His parentage was shown I think!

If you know the mothers maiden name was Donald you must have at least one of the parents' first names?? AND, perhaps the father's occupation ??

So this is the marriage?

England & Wales, Marriage Index, 1916-2005
Name: Mary E Mees
Spouse Surname: Arthur R Hill
Date of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep 1933
Registration district: Cardiff
Inferred County: Glamorgan
Volume Number: 11a
Page Number: 1103

You can order a copy of the marriage certificate from GRO:
http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/ costs £9.25

It should tell you his age, occupation, address and father's details. You can then work back from that.

Look at FreeBMD for his birth and that would give maiden name of mother and then look for any possible marriages
