the names i have put in has no records of the marrages.i am trying to find all those who married. but when i put the names .there are no match.for one jane batten born1777in berks i think. married george walters.some of the family who emmergreted to australia.i can not get ancestrys. so i am stuck, can any one help please out there. yvonne.

Just a word of warning here! - I once went off looking for ages for a marriage to someone named Unk !! - Believe it or not there are many people of that name!

However, the poster had put this as meaning 'unknown' !!

I wonder if this is the same meaning and hope that none of you follow my 'sillyness' if they do !! ;-) :-D :-D

Can you please confirm the details Yvonne before we go any further?

I think the poster WAS using unk as unknown for both Mary Ann and Sarah, as no surname given on baptism record ( but a good reminder of the pitfall)

HI, thank you all so much, i have john robert batten born 1865 in coley;s point newfoundland, and his death 1951 bay roberts. newfounland.canada. buried in salvation army cemetery. at cat hill. next to his wife annie. s hierlihy batten. died1960, and son winston d 1915.at 4 months,they were married 18 dec 1895 in coleys point, newfoundland, i am not sure if he is in the family batten, i have found anthony batten marr mary fonner--fenner. but did not know if i had the right one, and oz i do know that. but could not think of it at that time, thanks for that, i know there are others in n.s.w. i can only do so much,now i have to go back to find anthony birth,as there are abt three or four anthony, i am sure there are more who emmergreated to canada, thank again, yvonne,ps do you know what r.a.m.c. stands for,no one new it on who wants to be a milen air. i did when i was a little girl,
