Hi, Robert Shearer Breen of 39 Allendale cottages my G Grandfather. My Grandfather John was born in 1912 the year after William Watson Breen died before his 1st birthday. I'm having difficulty going further back than this. My uncle Norman Breen believes we were from Kilkenny in Ireland and left around 1850 to go to Scotland , possibly the Glasgow area. Any help is much appreciated. Mick

Aha ! Got some more info. Robert shearer Breen born 1883 Married 1908 Died 19th April 1958. His wife Susanah Jane Richards or Richardson ? Born 13th Sept 1880 Died 6th Oct 1946 and funnily enough she was married on the same day ! ! How lucky was that. 39 Allendale cottages was occupied by Robert,Susanah, children Hilda, Elsie, Gladys and John and briefly William god bless him. Mick

Hi Reggie. I'm not sure if this is the right Margaret Shearer - from what my uncle tells me she married John William Breen in Coatbridge near Glasgow in around 1870. Then again his info might not be correct. Cheers Mick

I wonder if this is Robert's family?? Maybe the surname got changed over the years to sound 'not so Irish?'
