The info posted is for you to check.

To be sure you follow the right line you need Walter's birth cert to check out his mother's name (Elizabeth could even be Francis's 2nd wife for all we know, and Walter's mother may have been Martha. )

This one covers Butterwick

Births Mar 1885
Taylor Walter - Boston 7a 442

1901 Walter is not with them I have posted a possible 1901 census above he is a servant living in Yorkshire this of course may not be him as the year of birth is a couple of years out. Will look for other Walters

Hi was just posting as I think the thought was that Francis may have been Frank with Martha in a 1901 census but as we see there was a Frank/Martha and Francis /Elizabeth in both 1891 and 1901 so 2 different families.
Will shows Elizabeth wife to Francis when he died.
So think you need a birth cert for Walter to confirm parents. If it is the 1885 one posted above then the 1901 census Walter as a servant could be him. Hope that helps

Just another thought if his father was Francis who died in 1913(possible death /will index info) then why would they record father as Frank in 1917 when Walter died

tia Report 12 Jul 2013 22:05

i do not know the answer to that question the information my nana sent my was
Francis (Frank) Taylor- occupation -laborer -her great grandfather so i am assuming that his first name Francis was shortened to frank by everyone and that is what he went by.
