The tree on Ancestry has nothing further back for Lily - no parents and no siblings

Potty - yes thats the one I am looking for, but cannot find the marriage.

MarieCeleste - The father details on the 1914 marriage certificate were William Hughes (deceased) and John Higgins.

Reggie 6 daughters - Lily 1910, Dora & Elsie twins 1913, Elizabeth 1915, Clara 1918 and Gertrude 1921 all born North Wales, Wrexham area.

Shirley the 1911 census looks abour right although not too sure Evan Thomas DOB is correct. I do wonder as you suggested if he did not divorce his 1st wife and as the whole family moved to Whitby, North Yorkshire I asume it was kept a secret.

We always thought Martha's maiden name was Higgins, but it appears not and the birth certificate states Wilson. Her mothers name was Ann Wilson and on the 1881 census Ann was married to Henry Higgins and Martha Wilson was listed as their daughter.

Thank you to everyone else for your input, some of which I have and other is new to me.

This Lily is attached to a tree that has Evan Hughes married to a Martha Higgins - married one year; one child
