Reginalds marriage cert should name his father so thats another cross check to the right family.

Plus of course his birth cert will name both parents!!!

Why though are you looking for James cert ?? he is too young to be Reginald dad!!

Reginalds parents are Alfred Wills and Emily Cushway

Are you saying the cert you bought doesnt give the right parents names??

Just to say re your post

"just checking my records i applied for birth cert under ref 1c 527 and was told this was incorrect on GRO index for james wills"

When you applied are you sure you only gave the details listed on the GRO index? If you add more info than is listed and any of that extra info is incorrect (including spelling errors) then they will reject that application

When applying through the GRO only ever give the details listed on the index (nothing extra)

The parents of James Alfred were Charles and Mary.........the 1911 census for the family is on page one of this thread!

The Cushway/Wills marriage is also on page one................

hi ref 1c527 is not right info for james?
james would have been my uncle unfortunatly never knew him
habe emailed tower hamlets and await there reply

hi

checked with london borough of tower hamlets for birth of james wills as per 1911 census born 1904 in bow and they say no trace of birth? so will give up on trying to get birth cert. many thanks all for all your help :-)
