Find Ancestors

Trying to find Family history? My name is Kevin Liggs(nee Oliver),I'm trying to find out some history on my Grand parents Their name's was Harry Oliver and Elsie Oliver ( nee Torvill) and her parents were George Torvill and Florence Gertrude Torvill and they had 8 children and they used to live at 200 Rd Queens in Beeston. The reason for my inquiry is that I don't know my real mother, All I know is her Name (Sylvia Ann Oliver) and she was born in 1937, At 200 Queens Rd in Beeston . So I'm trying to find out some Family information and may be some roots . I found out that my uncle name is John Oliver who was born in 1945 in Basford Registration District. and still may be alive today If anyone has some information

Just to add, according to record on Freebmd, there is no middle initial for Sylvia. The area is Notts.

To find out if any other members have your family in their trees, you need to click on "Search" above........and then click on "Search All Members" trees from the drop down menu.

If you find any connections, you can then contact the tree owners.......explaining your connection to the family and ask if they will allow you access to view their tree.

On the 1911 census, it states that Walter and Gertrude Torvill were both born in 1903.

It seems that Gertude is actually "Florence Gertrude" and she was Walter's twin.....

There are 5 children born to the Cutler/Torville marriage between 1927 and 1938 which you can find on Freebmd.

Registered in the MMN (Mothers maiden name) of Torville and not Torvill.
