I honestly don't understand why you think either of these 1865 births can possibly be the right person
You say that your relative's name was Joseph..............not John Joseph, or Joseph John, and he was consistent in giving on census returns an age that would totally preclude any births after the early part of 1864.
How OLD was he said to be when he married?
Was JOSEPH the only name for him on the cert?
What was his father's occupation?
Was his father 'deceased'?

You said his father was named on the cert as William, so I wonder why you have ordered the cert for John Joseph, as the baptism - AND marriage - info posted on page one shows his father's name to be JOHN.
