Blimey! This chap was a real career criminal, not a very good one judging by the number of times he was in and out of prison. Still can't find him in 1901/11, but he had so many aliases he could be hiding anywhere.

Have now found Susan/Susannah in 1901 under her maiden name of Crossley. No sign of Cornelius, yet. Turning into quite a saga chasing this branch, more criminality than the rest of my tree.

Re the 1894 marriage posted by Malyon -

William Henry Hemingway married Martha Ann (in 1911 she calls herself Ruth Ann), so that Cornelius must have married Susan.

The 1894 marraige found by Malyon is correct. He married Susan Raper. His father Henry was a button maker.

All of these men were Imperial Convicts sent to Western Australia and when they had received their Certificate of Freedom or Conditional Pardon, all moved to Newcastle NSW The Colonial Secretary of Western Australia sent to the Colonial Secretary of NSW a full convict history of the first to arrive in 1873, including their original place of trial, native place and a physical description.
