Caroline

Caroline Report 26 Jan 2017 10:54

Thank you so much, I am amazed how much you found out just from a name and date. She was born in Kingston with parents Edwin and Naomi. She was one of ten but I have only found 9 siblings so far.

When I saw the word inmate my heart sank but she does appear to have had a happy ending.

Thank you for taking the time to do all this

02 August 1884 - Cambridge Independent Press - Cambridge, Cambridgeshire

DRUNK and disorderly.
Edwin Allgood, labourer, of Kingston, Cambs., was charged with being drunk and disorderly, and using obscene language in Guildhall-street, on the previous Saturday afternoon. Defendant admitted the offence, expressing sorrow for what had occurred. He had been a teetotaler for some time, but on Saturday he had a little beer, and it took effect. The bench considering that defendant had been locked up in prison one night, discharged him with a caution.
