Was he born in East Rudham Norfolk? There is a John Savory in someone else's tree. Maybe you could try and contact them.

This one's probably too late to be the right marriage, but here it is anyway.

Name: John Savary
Gender: Male
Marriage Date: 24 Aug 1845
Spouse: Mary Ann Wicks
Event Type: Marriage
Parish: Tytherington, Gloucestershire
Parish as it Appears: Tytherington

EDIT: Yes, he's definitely too young accoding to this census, but I'll leave it up if only for elimination:

On image for above 1807 (Ancestry) says, of the Hamlet of Littleworth. Same Hamlet Mary Wicks. Witnesses, George Wicks, Robert Fisher.

Worth checking 'Search All Member Trees' (top right of page here, under 'Search') quite a few of them, Savery/Savory, shared by other GR Members.

I have very sketchy details scribbled on a piece of paper. Says 1807 but may not be accurate. But scribbled alongside him is Daglingworth Glos. married o Mary Jane Wicks, I have the relations down to me from him till today, but need his Parent's names if possible of him.

Brenda

Brenda

Brenda Report 28 Jan 2017 14:32

Looking at this 1807 could be the Marriage date to Mary Wicks, Not his birth date. Thanks everyone.

Brenda ..................

for future reference, please do not use the "tick" function.

On this site, it is meant to indicate that your request has been fully answered, not that you have seen or replied to a post. It is meant to indicate to the helpers that there is no need to look at the thread, because there is no more work to be done.

It is also a quirk of GR that the tick cannot be "unticked" ........ it remains for ever.

The only thing that you can do is to edit the title to add " ........ help still needed"

To do this, click on Edit on your Opening Post.

Another screen will open, with the title and the post. Just type the edit into the title box, then click Submit.

Brenda- sometimes for us to work back we need a few details coming forward.

You say you have all the relations down to you- can you tell us who John and Mary Wicks child was and when they were born? This will help us to know which John Savory we are looking for.
